When creating art I'm obsessed with making it mean something. Making everyone who can see it feel something including myself. Looking back on my work always results into me feeling like I did at the time I created the piece. each jacket is individual,  one off and made spontaneously by me. All jackets due to the fact it's only me as the creator and model are all Large men's jackets. This makes them multifunctional as both fitted and oversized pieces that can be worn as dresses, jackets by both men and women. 

 All jackets are waterproof and durable so can be handwashed and are protective in wet weather. 

Each piece is high quality that has been injected with Poca love and energy. This is expressed through bold illustrations and eve bolder words. 

Jackets can be worn alone as dresses or over outfits like jeans in casual and occasional environments. Make a simple outfit more daring or just be 100% rebellious and wear individually for a statement look.

I love Lipcote

Recently I worked with Lipcote representing their lip and brow products along with some other fabulous people. Before collaborating I'd never tried the product before but the team were lovely enough to send me some samples over so I could see what everyone was talking about. For me When working with brands I have to stay true to myself and my aim is always to be authentic and fortunately it was right up my street! The concept of keeping my brows and lip product on all day was exciting and I couldn't wait to be apart of it.

On the day of the shoot I was asked to simply be myself. My makeup was exactly how I would do it and I got to wear and style my clothes. I was happy to meet the other ambassadors on set and was overwhelmed by how individual they all were and how one product can literally be for anyone regardless of job, gender, race etc.

In only a couple of minutes you can seal your brows and lips and not have to worry throughout the day. For me A girl about town I'm out of the house a lot and the last thing I want to worry about it topping up my makeup so it's one less thing to worry about.

I wear Lipcote no matter what style I decide to rock! No one would ever know!

FootAsylum my way

A few weeks ago I took part in the latest Foot Asylum women's campaign celebrating individuality and style showing different people with different fashion styling up their favourite Foot Asylum pieces. It was fun choosing my favourite bits and being able to rock them in my own way in a laid back setting.

I'm all about pink recently and decided so go for a simple oversized Adidas Tee with Pumas and a monochrome mesh track jacket. I love fresh whites and oversized clothing so I think this simple outfit really reflects my relaxed day time style.

Jade 4 ASAP

Jeans and a T-shirt; you can't go wrong. My go to outfit when I'm out and about that can be styled up and down depending on the occasion and an easy transition from day to night.

Talking from experience I hate going home to change so most of my looks are suitable for more than one event. Just throw your heels in you bag for that party you're attending later and give your feet a rest by wearing trainers in the day.

I distressed these PrettyLittleThing mom jeans to transition them into summer time and threw on this statement Asap Rocky T-shirt by @Pink__uzi for a slouchy oversized look. Pink__uzi Is a dope brand with unique T-shirts featuring artists, actors and idols from over the years and I was lucky enough to choose from their eclectic collection. ASAP is my celebrity crush so I just had to cop this baby blue slogan Tee with his face on.. let's just hope he doesn't ever see me in it!

My favourite thing to do in fashion is to pair pieces together you wouldn't expect and I love pairing heels with more casual pieces. These Missy Empire heels not only glam up the look but also elongate the silhouette and show a little skin at the same time.

Understandable not everyone can wear heels like this in the day so you can swap these for a day time block heel or even opt out and go for a complete casual look with trainers or flats.

Rihanna: Outfit inspiration

Bringing some colour into your life with these red 90's vibes today and combining my two favourite trends, colour blocking and sports lux. 

I'm not about my labels so today I'm wearing and embracing an outfit which costs only £30! I've always been one for a bargain and my talent recently is finding identical dupes of the more expensive pieces found in the highstreet and online. In this case joggers and crop tops are retailed for such unreasonable prices for what they're worth, especially with such inexpensive fabrics and simple manufacture it requires to make some of these pieces. 

I purchased this unbranded top and jogging bottoms from a really cheap eBay seller for just £10!

I visioned this matching outfit which was influenced by artists such as Kehlani and Rihanna who are rocking sportswear on and off stage. To find his look I simply just typed 'red crop top' on eBay and then looked for the same tone of red by searching products under the title 'red joggers'. For the finishing touches I paired this two-piece with black courts for £10 from primark and oval shades which were also super cheap for just £3 also found on eBay. I love the 90s vibe the shades bring to the outfit and the red frames keep the red theme alive! 

East Sundays

Sunday.. my favourite day of the week. Usually spent having a few beers with friends and strolling around the best parts of London. Today was no different and my outfit reflected this laid back day. The weather was beautiful so I got out the legs and threw on a few of my new favourite staple pieces.  

Still keeping my jacket as the main attraction I paired my new flatform lace ups with some fishnets and an oversized tee. Red is sometimes hard to style up with other colours but got away with the beige in the shoes which so happened to be the same colour as the leather sheaves on my varsity jacket. During the sunny day the varsity jacket was perfect slouched over my shoulders and then easily transitioned in the evening worn fully on. I'm pretty sure most own a varsity jacket or standard bomber and so have I, but never quite at this quality

Denim with a twist

Another easy fashioned trend most could find in their wardrobe and rock the same day. Playing with denim in a unique sense giving a denim jacket a new look with this denim knot top. I'm not sure where this trend evolved from or who really started it. I've seen images circulating on Pinterest and Instagram of girls wearing the jackets almost as tops off the shoulder and a few tying the arms to create new dimensions and silhouettes.

The overall denim look feels so 90s to me and my style 100% represents this carefree, youthful and unisex trend which is double denim. Mom jeans and oversized denim jackets are definitely my go to pieces so putting them together is so simple yet bold in effect. Influences Im inspired by that play with denim are designers like Ashish, Jeremey Scott and also iconic celebrities such as Drew Barrymore in her teens and Rihanna to date.

To achieve this look in just a few steps: 

Forget about the sleeves initially and button up 3 of the buttons leaving enough buttons at the top to have you arms over. The last 1-2 buttons should be open for a loose and comfortable fit. At this point the sleeves should be under your arms. Bring the sleeves around your chest, still under your arms and knot. Leaving enough space for comfort. 

With simple styling I added this Vivienne Westwood chain and a high street double ribbed necklace along with a simple top knot and Nike low dunks from JD sports

Bringing nudes, tans and beiges to your life with this laid back day look featuring some of my favourite brands.

An outfit perfect for this English in between season. Not only do layers amplify an outfit in terms of shape but it's also a quick solution for weather change throughout the day. The jacket around my waste came in handy later on in the day so sometimes these extra layers are more than just a trend. Also always wear a tshirt under your jumpers if your planning on switching this outfit from day to night.

I'm currently crushing over @Catsgotthecream and their new in distressed pieces, they give my looks yeezy vibes and edge up my dressier pieces.

Get a flare baby girl

Keeping it simple today with this block toned  outfit while putting all focus on this stunning Chameleon cropped trench jacket by Cimone.

I picked this jacket out from Wearthewalk.co.uk ; a website full off high fashion pieces designed by some talented up and coming designers ready for you to loan. Nothing on there is of the ordinary or duplicated so being able to style one of Cimone's pieces up was an honour.

I kept the styling simple with an all black combo to give the jacket center stage and make the overall look casual but still day to night. I wore my favourite flares and my @catsgotthecream slogan 'baby girl' jumper and white cat eye shades. Recently I've been adding to my sunglasses collection and these are my march favourites. I think wearing statement shades always add to even your most simple outfit and with summer coming around the corner you can never have too many!

Sometimes wear white

Bringing something fresh to the colourful streets of East London.

Styled with some cat EBay shades to give the look some colour and this cute baby pick rucksack also from Lasula. I let out my new blonde mane for this look and a bold blood red lipstick from my @Lipmonthly package (sign up now using code 'JADE' for money off! 

This winter I've been loving everything and anything oversized especially these thick jersey jumpers. They're perfect for most occasions fitting the high low trend. It's so easy to dress up and down your outfit with just the way they're styled. I don't usually wear dresses but these jumper dresses make me feel girly while still having a laid back edge.

LFW day 2: outfit details

Day 2, lots of shows, lots of outfit choices! I went with this simple baby pink number from Pretty little thing paired with my leather jacket and boots.  After visiting the PLT studios in London I picked up some weather friendly yet on trend key pieces from their new in collection. I knew pocalondon would have to make an appearance somewhere too!

This oversized pink jumper is perfect for day to night; a pair of heeled sock boots from Simmi shoes was all it took to bring the outfit a more glam feel. To edge it up I added my one off custom jacket from pocalondon (which is now available on my depop) and a pastel corset belt to give myself an improved silhouette and on trend feel. 

Makeup kept simple with a natural freckly look, winged sleek makeup liner, bronzed eye and purple lip from Mac cosmetics  

Makeup plus app event for #LFW

We attended the pop up makeup plus event which was so sassy. Rimmel makeup booths, hair stylists and nail art was at the ready including lots of cute things to do like selfie corners and of corse free drinks. Had such a fabulous time coming in between shows to wind down and take some selfies of corse !

LFW LIVE - Illustrations /// POCALONDON

My 3 days of fashion week was multitasking mayhem. As a blogger, illustrator and party goer I really juggled everything into the days to get the most out of LFW weekend. As an illustrator and fashion blogger I enjoy doing both but try and stream the content on separate social platforms and collaborate the two all at once. Theres always a lot going on for me at fashion week but I always love every minute of it!

LFW Day 1 : outfit details

Today is the second day of fashion week but for me my first. After arriving in London Friday night I was only able to attend an event in the evening; no shows but today is where it started for me. Saturday the 18th, 5 shows and lots of gorgeous fashion. Here is my first official outfit, double denim and illustrative vibes .. come through. 

Today I wore my baby which is of corse @Pocalondon

My plan was to really rock my new brand for the 4 days I'm in London for fashion week, so I whipped up some new pieces last minute. This denim jacket is originally from MissyEmpire and the jeans are Topshop. I love customising my old clothes, making them new and literally putting on my stamp.

I wrote some pretty empowing words on these two pieces, I wanted to evoke feminism  and overcoming struggles but in a light hearted sense. My work is always so spontaneous and effortless as Pocalondon is raw and energetic so everything is done on impulse from a feeling or an idea.

Last week I had the privilege of visiting the lovely team at  Pretty little thing HQ. Can I say their offices were a dream! Like I'd stepped into LA from drizzly Manchester, palm trees, buggies, pink galore and lots of Gorgeous artwork scattered around the building.

I was spoilt with a freckly makeover by their talented makeup artist Emma Devine, all featured on Snapchat showing how easy it was to achieve this effortless look! 

I recorded a quick Q&A answering questions about my style, some fun facts and other random things you might not already know. This video will be up on mine and The PLT YouTube channels next week!! I'll also pop it in this post once available 🌸

Including a sassy video of me picking out my favourite February pieces from their new range. This included a date night look, off duty casuals and a trend of my choice. I went with this laid back oversized tee look with this popular rose print paired with another trend which is corset belts. Sketch book mornings ✨

Everyday I Implement art into my life and weekends I thrive waking up to it. Saturdays and Sundays are the days I have breakfast in bed listening to radio 1xtra and watercolouring into my sketch books. I always feel so relaxed on a weekend knowing my week has been successful and these are my days of rest.

My mind and body are at rest therefore I can delve into my feelings and creativity. Writing poetry along with my art work and quotes that reflect how I'm feeling at that moment. Sometimes putting your mind on paper is the best cure and the most soothing craft of all. Every morning has a different feeling and even when I'm not in the mood or just haven't got the strength to get my sketch pad out i have to. I have to make it a priority because I know that I always feel deep in my feelings when I illustrate and with that create magic spontaneously.

Push yourself at the start of the day, even if it's something you aren't even skilfully good at you have to open your mind. Whether it be fitness, art, singing or hobbies which enable you to release your senses. That's the start to a beautiful day.

Sleek and Tailored / Rihanna inspired

I was lucky enough to find this pin striped oversized blazer from a local charity shop for under £10 and switched this up as a dress. The brand is discontinued, however you can find similar blazer dresses in most high streets. Unfortunately I haven't come across a pinstriped one but If its pin striped you want you can try an oversized blazer 2 or 3 sizes up from your actual size. This will give it the look of a dress and will fall beyond the crotch if big enough, if not you can wear shorts underneath. I love the classical feel of pin stripes and wearing them within an evening piece with a choker and some high heels creates a more boyfriend / rockstar look.

TIGER STRIPES

'Tiger stripes' A beautiful collaboration with the talented lady which is Kirin Sall.

I met Kirin a year before for a little street style shoot and we decided to go again with something more personal, editorial and empowering. She was asking about for models who weren't afraid to bare all. Putting there stretch marks AKA tiger stripes at the forefront; which became the concept title. 

I wasn't afraid to reveal my scars and marks to the world as I'd been showing them off already for years on instagram. Its surprising how they don't worry me with my mother who has many and has a huge insecurity about them. Plus within my culture and society Its not an attractive trait. Kirin came at the perfect time really, I'd just experienced some negative comments on a instagram photo referring to my tiger stripes. It really didn't offend me but I started to think about how my followers would see this negativity. Of corse many stood up for me but really I was mostly worried about the young girls that would view it and how it would discourage them of embracing them. For me I was the same at 16.. the biggest worry I had was how my first sexual partner would view them and how I was way too young to have them all over my ass and thighs. But guess what? no partner, guys around the pool, girls in the gym have ever noticed them and eventually neither did I. Its such a silly insecurity to have but its reality and only yourself can overcome it.

KHAKI NOVA

Fashion Nova sent me these gorgeous pieces perfect for the weather here in London; edgy and cosy is the key for me this time of year so I'm embracing jeans and knitted jumpers with an edge. 

Khaki is one of them colours I just can't stop myself from wearing. Khaki and black are my comfort zone so khaki is a little more exciting than an all black attire. My office pointy sock boots were the perfect khaki to wear with this jumper and the blue ripped jeans also from FashionNova gave the whole look a little edge. Basic jeans and jumpers really aren't me so the lace up detail and distressed holes steers the outfit away from being basic. Sorry to the basics! I topped this off with my new mocha vintage faux fur coat I copped in an east London market.
